We are Indian Sugar Mills Association (hereinafter referred to as ISMA) and International Sugar Organisation (hereinafter referred to as ISO), joint presenters of the ‘The India Sugar and Bio-Energy Conference 2023’, being held for the first time in India. However, the conference and all its logistics are being managed by ISMA.

The Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) is an apex sugar body in the country, working as an interface with the Indian government and other important stakeholders.

International Sugar Organisation (ISO) is a unique intergovernmental body devoted to improving conditions of the world’s sugar market through debate, analysis, special studies, transparent statistics, seminars, conferences and workshops.

The conference aims to provide an international level opportunity to share and exchange knowledge and ideas, discuss emerging trends, explore potential business opportunities and find solutions to challenges in the unstoppable sugarcane industry.

The Conference itself includes activities that include but are not limited to:

  • Conference logistics
  • Technical capabilities
  • Video Content
  • Sponsor booths
  • Stage productions
  • Felicitations
  • Outdoor event staging
  • Welcome receptions, lunches and dinners with live entertainment.

For the said conference, ISMA has developed this website for the purpose of disbursing information, enabling delegate registrations and collecting payments through third party payment gateways. The site is the property of Indian sugar mills association (ISMA). By using the site, you agree to these terms of use, if you do not agree do not use this site.

Jurisdiction/governing law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, these terms of use are governed by the laws of India and courts in New Delhi, India will have jurisdiction.

Attendee registration & restrictions

Attendees can browse through the website, share the website link with others, etc. Attendees can also register through the website by clicking on the registration link. Attendees will pay through the payment portal, a link to which will be put up on the website. Delegates will input their names, and other details as required in the registration form. Once registered, delegates cannot transfer the registration to anyone else.

Also you will not place false or misleading information on the web site. You will not use or access any service, information, application or software available via the web site in a manner not expressly permitted by Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA)

Privacy policy

ISMA respects your constitutional rights to privacy and we do that by protecting all the information provided by you to us.  For the duration for which you avail our services, we shall safeguard your information and keep them confidential and protect the integrity and security of your shared information as specified by us in these term and conditions.

You agree that we might have access to all the information provided by you in order to provide you services properly. We shall not disclose such data except if compelled by law or permitted by you, or pursuant to these terms.

In order to provide you with timely and appropriate services we might gain access to your account information. As already stated we shall not in any case disclose your data or personal information in public domain except if compelled by law or permitted by you or pursuant to these terms.

Marketing

We will not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes unless we have your express consent to do so.

ISMA will only retain your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it has been collected and outlined in this policy notice or for the purposes of which you have otherwise been informed. This means that we will retain your data in accordance with the consent given or until such consent is revoked by you.

For personal information received in relation to the registration and conference attendance process:

This service is operated by ISMA who will be the controller of the data for legislative purposes. The data will be kept securely by us in accordance with our privacy policy and it will not be used for any marketing purposes (other than for contacting delegates for future editions of The India Sugar and Bio-Energy Conference) nor shared with any third party other than our delivery partners.

Requests and access

All requests for data deletion, alteration and information concerning personal information ISMA may hold about you, may be made in writing at the address below. You will be responded to within 30 days and advised of progress made with your request and whether there are any applicable and lawful charges attached to your request.

We restrict access to your personal data to our employees and suppliers who need to use the information in order to process it on our behalf and who are contractually bound and required to keep the integrity of your personal data secure and confidential.

Modifications

Indian sugar mills association (ISMA) may revise and update these terms and conditions at any time. Your continued usage of the web site after any changes to these terms & conditions will be deemed as acceptance of such changes. Any aspect of the web site may be changed, supplemented, deleted or updated without notice, at the discretion of ISMA.

Limitation of liability and disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law , in no event shall ISMA, its affiliates, licensors, suppliers or any third parties mentioned at the website be liable for any incidental, direct, indirect, exemplary, punitive and/or consequential damages, lost profits, and/or damages resulting from lost data or business interruption resulting from the use of and/or inability to use the website, ISMA information, services or the content whether based on warranty, contract, tort, delict, or any other legal foundation, and whether or not ISMA is advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent permitted by law, the remedies stated for you in these terms of use are exclusive and are limited to those expressly provided for herein.

We make no warranty, either express or implied, nor do we guarantee anything with respect to your use of our services. The use of our services, including the site and content, an all server and network components are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available basis’, without any warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Force Majeure

Except to the extent provided in this T&C, ISMA shall not be liable for any default or delay in the performance of its obligations under this T&C & if and to the extent such default or delay is caused, directly or indirectly, by acts of terrorism, fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature or acts of God, riots, civil disorders, or any other such similar cause beyond the reasonable control of such Party, and (ii) provided ISMA is without fault in causing such default or delay, and such default or delay could not have been prevented by reasonable precautions and could not reasonably be circumvented by the non-performing Party through the use of alternate sources, or other means. Any such event or occurrence as described here shall be deemed a “Force Majeure Event.”

Account termination

You agree that ISMA, at its sole discretion, may terminate or suspend your use of the website, the information of ISMA, services and content at any time and for any or no reason at its sole discretion, even if access and use continue to be allowed to others. Upon such suspension or termination, you must immediately discontinue your use of the web site, and  destroy any copies you may have made of any portion of the content. Accessing the web site, ISMA  information or services after such termination, suspension or discontinuation shall constitute an act of trespass.

Furthermore, you agree that ISMA shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any termination or suspension of your access to the website, ISMA information and/or the services.

Registration for the Conference

There is a one-time registration fee for the conference that the Attendee can do through the website by clicking on the registration link. Attendees will pay through the payment portal, a link to which will be put up on the website. Delegates will input their names, and other details as required in the registration form. Once registered, delegates cannot transfer the registration to anyone else.

Payment

Attendees can register through the website by clicking on the registration link and making necessary payment. Attendees will pay through the payment portal, a link to which will be put up on the website. Attendees will input their names, and other details as required in the registration form. Once registered, Attendees will receive a confirmation email on the email ID provided. The Attendee acknowledges and agrees that it will be responsible for the payment of any bank fees or other administrative charges which are levied in respect of the Fees and that any such charges will be in addition to the amount of Fees payable. In consideration of payment of the Fees, Attendee shall receive all documents, written materials, hospitality and refreshments made available to Attendees at the Conference. For the avoidance of doubt, Fees do not include Attendee transportation to, or accommodation at the Conference. Failure to pay the Fees by the required date will result in the Attendee being deemed to have cancelled their registration.

ISMA’s discretion as to attendance 

ISMA reserves the right to refuse an Attendee’s admission to the Conference at its sole discretion. In the event that ISMA refuses admission to an Attendee who has registered for the conference, it will refund the pro rata portion of any unearned Fees paid by that Attendee. 

Substitution

Each Attendee registered to attend the Event is entitled to one (1) transfer of their Event registration between their organization’s employees provided that the Attendee notifies ISMA by email to ismaconference@Indiansugar.com by at least two (2) Working Days before the first day of the Event. 

Returns and refunds

Registrations once done are non-returnable and non-refundable.
